Performance Review
The Storm 2500 is a nice large rifle capable of giving a good sting in battle.  It was released in 2001 as team red (red and black), and team blue (blue and orange), and rereleased in 2002.  The Storm 2500  has a nice 1x beam that has range equal to most Max Ds, and over that of most XPs.  Then there is a "secret" 2.25x nozzle on the pump that fires 34 feet (10m), and fires when the nozzle switch (located on the front of the pump) is turned on and you are pumping.  Its output is not as good as the CPS 1000, 1200 unless you are using the 1x and 3x nozzle simultaneously.  This will thuroughly soak any opponent.  The laser light inside the 1x nozzle is mostly a gimmick, but can be fun to use in not so serious night battles.  It also has a flash light "photon beam" that is actually useful as a small flash light.  The Storm 2500 is compatable with Storm's "Unlimitor", this hooks it up to a hose turning it into a powerful no pump blaster.

The Storm 2500 is one of the best air pressure rifles ever made.  Like the XP 150 this gun has a great pump on it with a large pump capacity.  It features a double action pump like all storm guns and takes only 5-6 pumps to fully charge the reservoir.  Its low high powered (different from overall shot time) shot time is a drawback for around the yard soak fests, but you can pump while shooting to retain your hpst until the gun runs out of ammo!  And when the serious player needs a gun the Stom 2500 never fails.  It's built very sturdy, but make sure you don't put salt water or other foreign materials in it as it will crack the pump from the inside out.  When taken against XPs the Storm 2500 dominates, I've killed a XXP 175, and XP 270 with this gun.  Still, do not get to cocky around Max D 6000s.  I'd give this weapon the edge over the Max D 6000, but I wouldn't bet on it.  The Storm 2500 is light, powerfull, and is streamlined, but its rather awkward.  Mainly the underside of the plastic under the reservoir is lined horizontilly and can iritate ones arm.  I also recommend attaching a strap to it, you don't want to be cought out in the cold very long with any weapon this size.

Overall, a nice weapon that is unlimitor compatable.  It's not a bad gun, in fact it's a really good gun - as far as statistics are concerned.  However, there are many more things to consider onthe battlefield than just plain statistics.  For its size and price you might as well go with a CPS 2100 or CPS Flash Flood - if you think that you can fix it when it breaks; and even though it shoots more and generally shoots further than most light rifles it is twice as awkward.  It's one of those guns that tries to span too many purposes.  It's just not powerful enough to be used by Heavy Gunners, and it's too uncomfortable/awkward to  use as a light rifle since being quick with your gun is important

Structural Review
This gun is rock solid.  Like the Storm 750 of rifles.  Another thing I love about this gun's design is the pump.  It pumps over 2x as much water as it releases from the primary nozzle.  You also have the option of turning a switch on the pump, which turns the pump into a piston blaster (it shoots out the pump when you pump it).  You can pump fire it and fire it out of the main nozzle at the same time, for a good 3.25x output.  Lastly, there's the light up nozzle, and the flashlight on the front of the gun.  These are mostly gimmicks, and you have to put batteries in for them to work, but they are fun to play with.

Pros: Durability, range, capacity, great pump

Cons: Low shot time, low output on primary nozzle, awkward design
